The SLCS15 uses a counterbalance design with no support legs under the load, so the forks can approach closed-bottom pallets, welded skids, drums on flat bases, and custom fixtures from the front. A standard straddle stacker physically cannot service those loads because its support legs need to pass around or under the pallet.

Does it still work with standard 4-way GMA or EUR pallets?

Yes. The SLCS15 handles standard 4-way GMA and EUR pallets the same way a straddle stacker would. Counterbalance design simply adds compatibility with non-standard load bases — it does not remove support for standard pallets.

How is this different from a regular straddle stacker?

A straddle stacker has two long support legs at the base that extend under or around the pallet to stabilize the load. That design is efficient on standard pallets but blocks access to closed bases.
